Oman’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Abdullah Al-Rahbi, has described the 23 July Revolution as a decisive moment in Egypt’s modern history.
In a message congratulating Egypt’s leadership and people on the anniversary, Al-Rahbi said the revolution represented the journey of a nation that had transformed challenges into opportunities and continued along the path of development and achievement.
He said 23 July was not merely a date from the past, but a moment that brought major change to the Egyptian state and launched a new phase of national action.
The revolution strengthened Egypt’s position and regional role and demonstrated that great nations draw their strength from the will of their people, the wisdom of their leadership and their ability to continue building across generations, he added.
Al-Rahbi praised Egypt’s recent achievements in development, infrastructure and national capacity under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, saying they formed part of a vision for a stronger, more stable and prosperous future.
He noted that the date also held special importance for Oman, as it was associated with the beginning of the country’s modern renaissance under the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Oman continues its renewed development journey under Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, with a vision that places people at the centre of development and strengthens the country’s position across different fields, he said.
Al-Rahbi added that the shared significance of the date reflected the deep historical ties between Egypt and Oman and showed that national progress depends on determination, vision and sustained work.
He concluded by wishing continued prosperity and achievement for the leaderships and peoples of both countries.
