Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha strongly condemned threats issued by Yemen's Houthi group against Saudi Arabia, describing them as unacceptable and a danger to regional and international security.

In a statement, Taha denounced the Houthis' recent missile attacks targeting southern Saudi Arabia and warned that their threats against maritime navigation and international trade jeopardize freedom of navigation and global commerce.

He said the threats were part of a broader pattern of attacks and unfounded accusations directed at the Kingdom, stressing that they cannot be justified under any circumstances.

The OIC chief reaffirmed the organization's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty and critical infrastructure, while calling for greater international efforts to protect maritime security and preserve stability in the region.
