Nourhan Ahmed Crowned Miss Arab World Egypt 2020 [Video]

Nourhan Ahmed, 23, was crowned the Miss Arab world Egypt 2020 in an unprecedented ceremony that took place in Cairo, Egypt.

Out of 14 Egyptian contestants from Egypt, Tuqa Adel won the first runner-up while Marwa Hozaien was named the second runner-up.

President of Miss Arab World Hanan Nasr said that the conditions of submission are to be an Egyptian citizen, aged between 18 and 28 years, a university student or graduate, never married before, has a full understanding of cultural activity and good general knowledge in addition to good reputation.

Nasr added that the Miss Arab contest was held for the past 12 years, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and recently under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In an exclusive interview with Sada El-Balad English (SEE), Nasr pointed out the Miss Arab World Europe contest will be held in Belgium next March for participants from Arab communities living in the EU.

The participants presented a fashion show for the Syrian fashion designer Yasser Harbiyeh, and another one for designer Mahasin Harzallah, which impressed everyone with her oriental designs. Also, the Jordanian fashion designer Al-Zoubi threw an Abaya show. Moreover, fashion designer Raghda Hassan, also presented a special blue dress to Saeed.

The ceremony was attended by the stars Rami Waheed, Mona Mamdouh, Menna Galal, Omar Taher, and media presenter Hanan Hussein.

Yasmine Jamal has performed two songs, including "Ain We Sabetna, Ahla", while the Arab Idol singer Heba Youssef sang "Howa Enta Mesadaa".

The ceremony was presented by Karim Osama, and by Yasmine Seif El-Din, who received the most elegant broadcaster for the Year 2020 award.

The jury included Jordanian Cosmic dentists Mahmoud Darras, Zafer Al Dajani, cosmetic expert Rania Abdel Rahim, fashion designer Ayat Al-Zoubi, as well as Algeria singer Meriem Halim, and Miss Arab World Egypt 2019 Yomna Saeed.
