Nour El Nabawy Lands His First Lead Drama Role

Rising Egyptian actor Nour El Nabawy has landed his first lead role in the TV series "6 Shour" (6 Months).

The series is a suspense thriller genre consisting of 10 episodes and a brand-new guest star.

It is produced by the "Watch It" VOD platform and Aroma Studios production company.

Mustafa Souli directs the series from a script by Amr Abu Zeid and Ahmed Hisham.

On the other hand, El Nabawy is set to return for the sequel to the sports hit film "El Hareefa".

It received the sequel treatment following its massive performance at the domestic box office that reached EGP 53 million.

The cast also includes Nour Ehab, Ahmed Hossam, Bayoumi Fouad, Sherif Desouqy, Firas Saayed, and more. It is scripted by Eiad Saleh, directed by Raouf El Sayed, and produced by Tarek El Ganainy.

"El Hareefa" marks El Nabawy's first role in a film and follows Majed who is forced to leave his high-end life and move from private school to a public school. Over time, he gains the respect of his classmates with his football skills. 

El Nabawy was last seen in the TV adaptation of the 1972 film "Embratoreyet Meem" (Empire M).

The cast also starred Khaled El-Nabawy, Hala Shiha, Nashwa Moustafa, Mahmoud Hafez, Mohamed Mahmoud Abdulaziz, Eman Al Sayyed, Hagar ElSarrag, and more.

The series is scripted by Mohamed Suleiman Abdel Malek, directed by Mohamed Salama, and produced by Aroma Studios production company.

"Embratoreyet Meem" follows a Mona (Faten Hamama), a widow raising her six kids besides her work. She gradually falls in love with businessman Ahmed (Ahmed Mazhar) but doesn't give in to her feelings easily being torn apart between her devotion to her children and her future with Ahmed.

The film featured a cast that included Faten Hamama, Ahmed Mazhar, Hesham Selim, Dawlat Abyad, Ali Gawhar, Saif Abo El Naga, Nagyat Kandel, and others.

Filmmaker Hussein Kamal directed the pic from a script by Ihsan Abd al-Qudus and Mustafa Samy.

The reimagining consists of 30 episodes and was screened during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
