"The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus has been cast in "Ballerina", Lionsgate's "John Wick" spinoff starring Ana de Armas and directed by Len Wiseman.
Reedus joins already cast Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Oscar nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno, with Keanu Reeves also set to make a cameo.
“Ballerina” stars Ana de Armas as a young female assassin who seeks revenge against those who murdered her family.
The Shay Hatten-scripted movie is currently shooting.
Along with Iwanyk, producers include Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski. Brady Fujikawa and Chelsea Kujawa are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
Before “Ballerina” twirls to the big screen, Reeves and McShane will return in “John Wick: Chapter 4”, which is set to hit theaters on March 24, 2023.
The first three installments of the vengeance franchise have been commercially successful, grossing a combined $587 million worldwide.
Reedus is known for his role as Daryl Dixon on 174 episodes of "The Walking Dead". He is also shooting a spinoff series based on the AMC show in France.
Reedus is set to star in the Jeff Nichols-directed "The Bikeriders" for New Regency opposite Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy, and Michael Shannon.
The actor’s film credits include "American Gangster", "The Conspirator", "Triple 9", "The Boondock Saints", and "Vacation".
