A high-ranking Japanese delegation visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) during their presence in Egypt to participate in the Climate Change Conference (COP 27), ruining from November 6-18.
The high-ranking delegation led by the Governor of Tokyo, H.E. Koike Yuriko was welcomed by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, and Mr. Sayed Abu Al-Fadl, the supervisor of the central exhibition hall and the royal mummies hall, Ms. Fairouz Fikri, Executive Vice President of the Museum Authority for Administration and Operation, according to a statement issued on Friday.
Accompanied by Dr. Ghoneim and Abu Al-Fadl, the visitors toured the Central Exhibition Halls, Egyptian Textiles Hall, and the Royal Mummies Hall.
Moreover, Abu Al-Fadl gave them a detailed explanation of the museum's history and its unique archaeological holdings that narrate the history of Egyptian civilization throughout the ages.
Meanwhile, the delegation expressed their fascination with NMEC's distinguished archaeological treasures.
The two parties exchanged souvenirs and gifts at the end of the visit, said the statement.
