Lebanese singer-actress Nicole Saba will be honored at the opening ceremony of the 3rd edition of the Hurghada International Youth Film Festival, slated to run from September 25 to 30.
Founded in September 2023, the festival, organized by the Fnon Foundation for Culture and Media, is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Red Sea Governorate, the Tourism Promotion Authority, the Syndicate of Cinematic Professions, and the General Union of Arab Artists, in partnership with several entities.
It aims to promote and spread cinematic awareness and culture, promote Egyptian cinema, and support films made by young people, and also films that deal with youth issues in Egypt and the whole world, as well as introduce cinematic works from different countries around the world.
Saba, born on June 26, 1974, is a Lebanese singer and actress. She made her music debut through Lebanese pop band “The 4 Cats”.
She shot with the band their first music video "Ashra HdashEtnash".
Saba released two albums with the band, "Tic -Tick" and "Layl Nhar", and four music videos "Yanassini", "Kan Ezaman", "Layl Nhar", and "Maba2a Eida".
Later on, she embarked on a solo singing and acting career. Her debut album as a solo artist was released in 2004, while her first acting debut was in 2003, in movie “El tagrubah el danemarkiyyah” (The Danish Experience), co-starring Egyptian prominent actor Adel Imam.
She has subsequently had success with additional roles in Egyptian films such as "Tomn Dastet Ashrar", "Kesit el Hai El Sha'abi", "Leilet El-Baby Doll", "Amaleyat Khasaa", " Al-Saffah", "Baba", and "Sameer Abool Neeel".
