New Year Celebrations Crown the Russian House 2025 Activities

The Russian House in Cairo (Russian Cultural Center) concluded its 2025 activities with a distinguished artistic celebration titled “Diversity of Talents,” featuring the participation of all studios of the Russian House. The evening was filled with joyful New Year and Christmas vibes, reflecting the richness and diversity of artistic creativity.

The celebration opened with a visual arts exhibition supervised by artist Heba Saleh, showcasing children’s artworks created throughout 2025. The Chess Club also took part, presenting demonstrations and workshops introducing the art and strategies of chess.

On the Tchaikovsky Theatre stage, the ballet troupe, under the supervision of Dr. Tahany Hassan, presented elegant performances including jazz dance and Christmas-themed dances. The Folk Arts Ensemble of the center, supervised by Eileen Martirosyan, delivered outstanding performances that were warmly received by the audience.

Musical performances added to the evening’s charm, as children performed solo piano pieces from classical repertoire. The Russian House Choir “Kalinka,” led by Louiza Bledzhants, performed a selection of Christmas songs. Members of the Youth Union recited Russian poetry, while the theatre troupe, supervised by Anna Konstantinovna, presented a Christmas-themed theatrical performance.

The program continued with solo instrumental pieces and rhythmic dance performances, including beloved Russian folk dances, which drew enthusiastic interaction from the audience at the Grand Theatre Hall of the Russian House in Cairo. The event was attended by prominent Egyptian figures and members of the Egyptian-Russian Friendship Association, reflecting the depth of cultural and human ties between the two friendly nations.

At the conclusion of the celebration, Vadim Zaitchikov, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, honored the participants, praising their high artistic standards. He noted that 2025 witnessed a major celebration marking 100 years of Russian public diplomacy, and expressed his delight at closing the year with such an outstanding artistic event, wishing all participants continued creativity and success in the coming year.
