A new set of photos of Egyptian actress Jamila Awad and Film editor Ahmed Hafez on their aqd qiran day has been published on social media.

Awad and Hafez signed aqd qiran Monday evening in a low-key ceremony limited to their families and relatives.

Aqd qiran is an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah.

The actress offered Tuesday a glimpse on her Instagram story of the intimate ceremony that was confined to 15 guests.

Awad and Hafez will hold their wedding reception next Thursday with the attendee of their celebrity friends.

The couple who have a 9-year age gap met behind the scenes of "Hepta: El Mohadra El Akhyra" in 2016.

A strong friendship developed between them, which quickly turned into a romantic relationship. They dated for about eight years until they decided to get engaged.

At the time, the duo collaborated on the 2017 TV series “La tutafiy alshams” and the 2018 film “Al Def”.

Born on April 6, 1991, Awad was raised in an artistic home as her father is film director Adel Awad, her mother is actress Randa, and her grandfather is comedian Mohamed Awad.

In 2015, she made her breakthrough playing Hania, a young drug addict, in the TV series “Taht El-saytara”.

The actress is best known for her roles in TV productions such as “Ella Ana” and “Harb Ahlia”.

She is also known for her roles in films “Min Talatin Sana”, “Laf We Dawaran”, “Sabe Alboromba”, “Banat Sanawy”, and “Arousty”.
