The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented in the Supreme Council of Antiquities, in cooperation with the French Institute of Oriental Archeology (IFAO), has issued a tome under the title "Materials and Techniques Sciences in Ancient Egypt".
Dr. Basem Gehad, supervisor of the central training unit at the ministry, said that the tome is a product of the first scientific conference that was held in November 2017 at the Muhammad Ali Palace Museum under the title "Materials and Techniques Science in Ancient Egypt".
He added the tome includes a number of research papers on the importance of archaeometry in the field of archeology and the importance of physics and applied chemistry and linking them to archeology.
Noteworthy, about two hundred researchers from archaeological institutes and Egyptian and foreign universities from different countries of the world participated in Materials and Technologies Science in Ancient Egypt conference.
