Egyptian iconic actress Sherihan is set to make her small screen comeback with a big-budget TV series. She is also gearing up to make a theatrical comeback.
The projects hail from the El Adl Group.
Sherihan first worked with screenwriter Medhat El Adl in the play “Coco Chanel”, which was a strong return for the acclaimed star after years of absence due to her illness.
The play was penned by El Adl and directed by veteran director Hady El Bagoury, who helmed 2016’s critically acclaimed film “Hepta”.
It depicts the life story of the famous fashion designer, Coco Chanel, and her world-famous fashion brand.
The play was filmed for television in 2019 and was set to be screened at the beginning of 2020, but the coronavirus outbreak occurred.
The production mark’s Sherihan acting comeback after 20 years of absence. In 2002, she made her last film appearance in “Al Eshk Wal Damm”, starring late veteran actor Farouk El-Fishawy.
In 2016, El Adl Group signed a contract with Sherihan to present 13 plays.
