Khaled al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities confirmed Egypt will witness the announcement of a new archaeological discovery in March.
Al-Anani added that the discovery was made by a mission headed by the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mustafa Waziri in Saqqara.
The minister pointed out, on the sidelines of the Archaeologists' Day celebration at the Cairo Opera House, that the discoveries that the antiquities areas witnessed recently have become one of the best cultural tourist destinations, as it witnessed a great turnout by tourists of all nationalities.
He noted that cultural tourism will witness a great turnout and an increase in the incoming tourist movement, especially after the recent events, including the the Rams Road reopening, and the royal mummies parade, which were reported by all international agencies.
