Canadian actress Neve Campbell has recently joined the cast of Peacock‘s highly-anticipated series "Twisted Metal".
It also stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, and others.
“Twisted Metal” is a half-hour action-comedy based on an original take by “Deadpool” creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The game centers around a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Sony Pictures TV and PlayStation Production are developing the project, which Michael Jonathan Smith penned and executive produced.
Reese and Wernick will also serve as executive producers along with Will Arnett and Marc Forman, who will produce through their production company Electric Avenue. Peter Principato of Artists First is also attached to executive produce.
Furthermore, Mackie’s longtime manager Jason Spire from Inspire Entertainment, Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions, and Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, will also serve as executive producers.
Most recently, Campbell reprised her iconic role of Sidney Prescott in Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures’ relaunch of the Scream franchise.
She also recently starred in the new Netflix series "The Lincoln Lawyer", based on Michael Connelly’s book, The Brass Verdict.
