Netflix's Lupin Part 3 Confirms Release Date This Fall

Netflix has announced that Lupin Part 3 will premiere on the service later thi year on October 5.

The story is that of a migrant family being torn apart by the actions of a wealthy boss. After emigrating from Senegal to France, Assane Diop and his father prepare to build a new life for themselves in Europe.

The quest has seen the older Diop begin working for the rich and powerful, Hubert Pellegrini. During that time, Hubert accuses Diop of stealing an expensive necklace which soon sees the migrant in prison.

Faced with this hard situation, he decided to hang himself in prison. His death orphaned his son. Assan takes in a book his father gave him about Arsene Lupin, a gentleman thief, and for twenty-five years has been imbibing everything there is to know about the art of stealing. When fully prepared, he launches a mission to expose Hubert's crimes.

Based on the fictional character created by Maurice Leblanc in the early 1900s, Lupin made it onto Netflix and effectively lit up the streamer.

Within a month of its release, the series had reached around 70 million households, making it the second most successful debut of a Netflix original show after Bridgerton.

Shortly after the sequel hit the streaming device, Omar Sy who also stars in the title confirmed that a sequel 3 was on its way.
