Netflix Drops Trailer for Movie "The Power Of The Dog"

Netflix dropped Thursday the official trailer for the Western movie "The Power Of The Dog".

"The Power of the Dog" is directed by Jane Campion and based on Thomas Savage's 1967 novel of the same name.

The movie marks Campion's first movie since 2008's "Bright Star".

It also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Jesse Plemons, Kirsten Dunst, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Thomasin McKenzie, Frances Conroy, Keith Carradine, Peter Carroll, and Adam Beach.

Set in 1925 Montana, Phil (Cumberbatch) and his brother, George (Plemons), make a living as wealthy ranchers.

They meet Rose (Dunst) at her restaurant one day, George is immediately smitten and marries her not long after their first encounter, but Phil has very different feelings for her and her son Peter (Smit-McPhee).

"The Power of the Dog" premieres Dec. 1 on Netflix.
