The trailer arrives alongside newly released images and a personal letter from manga creator Eiichiro Oda, who shared his excitement for the new season of the adaptation based on his best-selling manga.

“With Season 1, we faced the world’s question head-on: ‘Can One Piece really be adapted into live-action?!’ — and the answer spoke for itself…” he wrote. “Together with the stellar production team that delivered those brilliant results, we bring you Season 2, which will head into the Grand Line, the most formidable sea in the world. In other words, all the conventions that were established in Season 1 will be shattered.”

In tandem with the trailer drop, Netflix announced 13 global fan screenings and activations for “One Piece.”

Events will roll out across multiple cities, including Mexico City, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Cape Town, Bangkok and Rio de Janeiro, beginning February 23 and running through mid-March.

After its debut on Netflix in 2023, the live-action series, produced by Tomorrow Studios in partnership with Shueisha and Netflix, topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 for eight weeks and reaching No. 1 in more than 75 countries. It was also the first English-language Netflix series to debut at No. 1 in Japan.

Season 2 is co-showrun by Matt Owens and Joe Tracz, with Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar returning, alongside an expanded ensemble cast.

Netflix has already renewed the series for a third season.
