Egyptian actress Nelly Karim has backtracked on her decision not to participate in the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
The drama consists of 30 episodes and is produced by Sally Waly.
Karim had previously stated that she would not participate in the Ramadan drama marathon unless she found the right script.
"There's nothing this year. Honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm thinking about finally taking a break unless I get a script I'd like to make, she said in a statement.
Karim revealed her opinion on the 15-episode series, noting, "I honestly don't like making 15-episode drama. To me, the effort put into 15 episodes is like 30."
The actress participated last Ramadan with the star-studded TV series “Ekhwaty”.
The cast features the likes of Ruby, Kinda Alloush, Gihan El Shamashergy, Aly Kassem, Hatem Salah, and more.
It consists of 15 episodes and hails from scriptwriter Mohab Tarek and director Mohamed Shaker Khadir. Media Hub is the studio behind the series.
The drama marks Alloush's comeback to the small screen after three years of absence forced by her breast cancer battle. In December 2024, the Syrian star announced she was finally cancer-free.
