Egyptian stars Nelly Karim and Amir Karara have found their next collaboration in the film "Summer 67".
The project is written and directed by Abu Bakr Shawky and is set to hit theatres sometime soon.
Karim will also team up with Karara in the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 film “Casablanca”.
The actress made a cameo in the first film and is set to play the female lead role opposite Karara in the sequel.
On the other hand, Karim is preparing for a new TV series, which she plans to participate in during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
She participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Farawla".
The cast also includes Haggag Abdulazim, Mostafa Khater, Sedky Sakhr, Ola Roshdy, Shimaa Seif, Donia Sami, and more.
The series is scripted by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik and directed by Marwan Abdel Moneim.
"Farawla" consists of 15 episodes and witnesses Karim return to the comedy genre after four years of absence.
She participated in past marathons with angsty shows such as “Omla Nadra“ (2023), "Faten Amal Harby (2022), and "Ded El Kasr" (2021) after making her last participation in the comedy genre with the TV series "B 100 Wish" in 2020.
Karim, born on December 18, 1974, is an Egyptian actress, former model, and ballet dancer.
She was born in Alexandria, Egypt, to a Russian mother and an Egyptian father. Karim graduated from the Ballet Arts Academy and began dancing ballet at the Opera in 1991.
The actress has starred in many television series such as “Wajh al-Qammar”, “Hadeeth al-Sabah wa al-Masaa”, “al-Houb al-Kabir”, and “al-Bannat”.
