NBE Opens New Branch at Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) opened its latest branch in the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia, inside Al-Irshad building.

The inauguration was attended on Tuesday by Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, Hisham Okasha, Chairman of the National Bank of Egypt, and members of the board of directors of both parties.

The visit also witnessed the signing of the supplementary cooperation protocol to promote electronic fare collection of the authority's tunnel transit fees through NBE's special electronic POS points in the Canal's governorates.

The protocol was signed by Ahmed Hegazy, Director of the Tunnels and Bridges Department at the Suez Canal Authority, and Nermine Shehab El Din is NBE's Head of Marketing and Strategic Sustainability.

In his speech after the inauguration of the new branch, Rabie affirmed the authority’s keenness to open new horizons for cooperation with the National Bank to develop services provided to citizens crossing the tunnels and to provide banking services to the Authority’s employees.

On his part, Okasha emphasized that the opening of the new branch within the authority aims to provide a package of basic and advanced financial services to the authority’s employees to meet their daily needs of various banking services, with the availability of an automatic teller machines (ATMs).

He stressed on providing the branch with the best human cadres to meet the highest quality standards, in addition to providing an advanced technological infrastructure that keeps pace with the latest banking technology.
