As part of a series of official visits to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat, Bettina Cadenbach, NATO Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and her accompanying delegation toured on Tuesday the museum.
This came on the sidelines of her current visit to Egypt, where she was received by Ahmed Ghoneim Head of the Museum Authority, who introduced them to the museum, and Fayrouz Fekry, Vice President of the Museum Authority for Administration and Operation.
Marian Adel, curator at the museum escorted the guests on a tour inside the museum’s halls, which included the central exhibition halls, royal mummies, and Egyptian textiles, during which she gave a detailed explanation of the most unique artefacts displayed in the museum’s halls.
Cadenbach expressed her admiration for the unique treasures and archaeological antiquities in the museum, where she was keen to take photos with the delegation in the corridors of the museum, which they described as very impressive and comparable to the greatest museums in the world
