As part of the Ministry of Culture’s initiatives under the patronage of Minister of Culture Dr. Ahmed Fouad Heno, the National Library and Archives of Egypt, headed by Dr. Osama Talaat, celebrated today the completion of its 2024–2025 training plan for employees.
During the ceremony, Dr. Talaat handed certificates to participants who successfully completed a series of training programs, including:
• A 20-hour course titled “State Budget, Procurement Methods, and Accounting Cycle”, delivered by Mohamed Farouk Mohamed and Ghada Shehata El-Sayed, attended by eight participants.
• An advanced English language course held from March 6 to April 23, 2025, comprising 40 training hours and instructed by Israa Atiya Hussein Salem, with 11 participants.
• A 20-hour course on “Indexing and Classification of Documents”, taught by Dr. Salwa Ali Ibrahim and Dr. Amani Mohamed Abdel Aziz, attended by 24 participants.
• A course on “Principles of Artificial Intelligence in Data Science”, conducted from July 21 to 23, 2025, with 21 participants.
The programs were organized by the Center for Training and Human Development at the Central Administration for Scientific Centers.
In his remarks, Dr. Talaat praised both trainers and trainees, stressing that a university degree alone is no longer sufficient to meet the demands of the labor market. He affirmed that continuous training is a core mission of the National Library and Archives in serving society, emphasizing that professional growth and institutional advancement can only be achieved through lifelong learning and dedication.
