Natalie Portman, Jenna Ortega in Talk to Star in Movie "The Gallerist"

Oscar-winning Natalie Portman and one of Hollywood’s biggest rising stars Jenna Ortega are in talks to star in the movie "The Gallerist".

Cathy Yan directs the pic from a script she co-wrote with James Pedersen.

Portman and Sophie Mas will produce through their MountainA banner along with Jonathan King, Ash Sarohia, Tom McCarthy, Rae Baron, Sophie Mas, and Zola Elgart Glassman are producing.

"The Gallerist" follows a desperate gallerist who conspires to sell a dead guy at Art Basel Miami.

Portman is coming off her Golden Globe-nominated role in the Netflix drama "May December".

She recently wrapped production on the Apple and Skydance adventure pic "Fountain of Youth".

Ortega is coming off the box office hit "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", which just crossed the $400 million worldwide box office mark.

She is about to start production on Season 2 of the Netflix series "Wednesday" and also has the secret J.J. Abrams pic she will shoot next year.

Best known for her work on "Dead Pigs" and Warner Bros' "Birds of Prey", Yan most recently directed one of the episodes in the final season of the Emmy-winning HBO drama "Succession".
