The defence ministry of the Nagorno-Karabakh region announced on Friday that it had recorded another 29 casualties among its servicemen which raised the military death toll to 633, according to Reuters.

It is worth mentioning that, on Thursday, hopes of a humanitarian ceasefire sank as the death toll mounted and Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of launching new attacks.

Despite all international calls for calm, the breach of the ceasefire agreement in the Nagorno Karabakh region continues for the sixth consecutive day.

In a sharp escalation of those violations Thursday, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev announced that his forces had liberated 40 villages in the battles with Armenia, adding that the conflict there would be resolved in a military-political manner.

On the other hand, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, stressed that Karabakh is a red line for his country in the conflict with Azerbaijan.
