Egyptian actress Naglaa Badr will not participate in Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.
In a statement, Badr disclosed that she will not star in any TV series during the drama marathon out of her fear of leaving her home due to coronavirus, especially with the spread of the Delta and Omicron variants.
The actress noted she would be satisfied with appearing as a guest appearance on a TV series.
She also opened up about her recent Omicron infection. She noted that it was one of the most difficult periods in her life, due to the frequent use of medication and treatment that negatively affected her psyche.
Earlier this month, Badr announced that had tested positive for Omicron.
This was the second time for the actress to contract the coronavirus. In February 2021, Badr had tested positive for the virus for the first time.
Badr participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Nasl Al-Agrab”, starring Ahmed El Sakka and Amir Karara.
It also starred Mai Omar, Diab, Firdous Abdel Hamid, Edward, Ahmed Malek, Ahmed Dash, Ahmed Fahim, Injy El Mokkaddem, Mohamed Mahran, and others.
It was directed and written by Mohamed Sami, and produced by Synergy Production Company.
“Nasl Al-Agrab” was one of the largest drama productions in Ramadan 2021.
