Nagat Al-Saghira Makes Rare Appearance

Veteran Egyptian singer-actress Nagat Al-Saghira has made a rare appearance on Tuesday, after a long absence.

She took to Instagram to share her latest photo session and captioned: "Good morning 🌷".

Al-Saghira, 87, went viral online as fans from the Arab world showered her with love and longing for her.

Born on August 11, 1938, Al-Saghira is one of the leading vocalists in the history of the Arab world.

She began her career at the age of five and retired 59 years later.

The legendary singer's work is a part of Egyptian music from the "golden age" of the 1940s, ’50s, and ’60s. She retired from acting in 1976.

Al-Saghira quit music in 2002 and returned in 2017 with a new song , Kol El Kalam," which she recorded 15 years ago.

She disappeared from the spotlight only to reappear at the 2024 Joy Awards in Riyadh on January 20, 2024, after over 20 years of retirement.

Al-Saghira was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award and performed a segment of her famous song "Oyoun El Qalb" (Eyes of the Heart), marking an emotional, unexpected appearance.
