Lebanese singer Myriam Fares will be performing live for the first time in Mexico on Sunday, 5 February 2023, at the Barcelo Riviera, Maya the Grand Resort.
The artist will sing some of her popular tracks on the stage, delivering rocking performances as usual.
In November 2022, Fares joined Trinidadian-born rapper Nicki Minaj and Colombian singer-songwriter Maluma in their celebratory new World Cup song “Tukoh Taka” on Friday.
Fares said: “‘Tukoh Taka’, the song that I was honored to participate in its composition, arrangement, and choreography, made me more passionate about it, in addition to working alongside two of my favorite international artists, Nicki Minaj and Maluma.
“I truly wish that ‘Tukoh Taka’ will be transmitting Eastern culture and Arabian music to the whole world,” she added.
The Lebanese star was criticized by a number of people on social media that she was trying to mimic Shakira’s dance moves in the music video. A user on Twitter wrote that Fares is far away from the iconic Shakira who is the World Cup’s queen.
“Tukoh Taka” is produced by Gordo, Play-N-Skillz, and Massari, which makes it the first FIFA World Cup song featuring English, Spanish, and Arabic lyrics.
