Musicians Syndicate Gives Update on Amal Maher

The Egyptian Syndicate of Musicians released on Thursday a statement regarding the latest news about singer Amal Maher and her missing.

The statement asserted that the singer is fine, and enjoying a calm life after leaving the scene of music and arts in Egypt.

It also added that the syndicate contacted the singer's family members who asserted that Maher is fine.

Therefore, the syndicate urged social media users and followers to be more careful while reacting to trending news on social media.

Previously, Egyptian superstar Amal Maher has reassured fans she is doing fine following claims about her disappearance and the inability of her family to contact her.

The acclaimed singer shared on social media photos from her vacation and captioned: “Summer vibes🌝🏖miss you all❤️miss you.”

In the same context, veteran singer and the Musicians Syndicate board member Nadia Moustafa announced on Facebook that she had a phone call with Maher's sister and family, and they asserted that she is fine and will make a live video on social media for easing the worry of her fans.

Maher, was born on February 19, 1985. began singing as a child by presenting songs by iconic singer Umm Kulthum.

She was discovered at the age of fifteen and enrolled at the Conservatory of Arabic music to begin her singing career.

The acclaimed singer soon met composer Mohamed Diae, whom she eventually married and became the father of her son, Omar. She filed for porce a year later.

She recorded her first song in 2006 and received the support of Ammar El Sherei, who she considers to be her spiritual father.

The 37-year-old made her last performance at the pyramids on June 12, 2020.

In June 2021, Maher announced that she was quitting music due to special circumstances beyond her control.

Later on, the singer opened up about her retirement decision and noted she went through a bad psychological state following the death of her aunt, who was close to her heart.

She added that breaking off her engagement had affected her and led to her decision.

Earlier this year, Maher backtracked on her announcement and teased her return to music.
