"Ms. Marvel" Trailer Revealed

Marvel revealed Tuesday the first official trailer for "Ms. Marvel".

The series follows the first Muslim superhero Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), an ordinary Pakistani-American teenager from Jersey City who writes fanfiction mostly about her idol Captain Marvel and eventually finds herself the recipient of unexpected powers.

The trailer featured Kamala navigating high school, relationships, family, and her superpowers.

It also stars Aramis Knight, Azhar Usman, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Yasmeen Fletcher, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Nimra Bucha, Matt Lintz, Laith Nakli, and Travina Springer.

Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has previously disclosed that in addition to having her own solo series, Kamala will be included in future Marvel movies. He first revealed that the project was in the works back in 2018.

 

The series consists of six episodes and is a part of the MCU's Phase Four. It is based on the 2014 comic book of the same name.

"Ms. Marvel" is written by Bisha K Ali and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon.

Bisha K. Ali serves as head writer and executive producer alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, and Victoria Alonso. Sana Amanat and Brad Winderbaum serve as co-executive producers.

"Ms. Marvel" is slated to premiere on Disney+ on June 8.
