This phenomenon occurs every year on June 21-22, according to Hawass and Linner; it is considered the most important solar phenomenon occurring in Egypt.

Also, Hawass indicated that the sun becomes perpendicular to the sphinx’s shoulder on March 21-22 and September 21-22.

On other hand, the phenomena could have an effect in encouraging tourism to Egypt, as well as it could pull the rug out of the perpendicular sun phenomenon in Abu Simbel.

Noteworthy, Hawass and Dr. Linner have written the most important book on the history of Giza and it has been published in English, German and French.
