Egyptian singer-actor, Moustafa Amar shared an update on his upcoming projects.
In a statement, Amar revealed that he is preparing for a new film that would fulfill a dream of his, one that he had since he was twenty years old.
He opened up about the reason behind his secrecy about the project, explaining: “We are in the script-writing stage, and if I say something, I might find the film being developed tomorrow, something that I have experienced a lot. It has been an old dream of mine since I was twenty years old.”
The 57-year star added he is planning to release a new song titled "Snaa Masrya" (Made in Egypt).
Amar was last seen in "Awlad Harim Karim", the sequel to the 2005 blockbuster film "Harim Karim".
The sequel witnessed the return of the creative team behind the first film alongside several familiar faces such as Basma, Dalia El Behery, Ola Ghanem, and Khaled Sarhan.
It also introduced newcomers Bushra, Amr Abdul Gelil, Rana Raeis, Tiam Mustafa Amar, Hana Daoud, Youssef Omar, Hana Daoud, Karim Mohamed Karim, and Fouad Mohsen.
The sequel also features Riham Abdel Ghafour, who is heading back to set to briefly reprise her role as Nevine Gouda in the upcoming film.
Amar, born on September 22, 1966, is considered one of the most successful singers in Egypt. He released various hit albums such as “Seket El Asheqeen".
Along with his singing career, Amar also embarked on an acting career. He is also best known for his roles in films ”El Hob Al Awal” (2000), “Ashab Wala Business” (2001), “Elb Gareh” (2002), and “Hareem Karim” (2005).
His film credits also include “Esyabet Al Doctor Omar” (2007), “Mafeesh Fayda” (2008), and “Gowa El Lohba” (2012).
