Egyptian actor Mostafa Shaban is no longer involved in Karim Abdel Aziz and Yasmine Sabri's upcoming film "Al Mashrue".
The film was set to witness Shaban's return to the big screen after 14 years of absence.
He made his last onscreen appearance in the 2010 film “Al Watar”, which featured a starry cast that included Sawsan Badr, Ghada Adel, Arwa Gouda, Arwa Gouda, and Ahmed L Saadany. It hailed from scriptwriter Mohamed Nayer and director Magdy El Hawary.
On the other hand, Shaban is planning to participate the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon with the TV series "Hakim Basha".
The drama is a Saidi genre hailing from scriptwriter Mohamed al-Shawaf and features Shaban embodying a man from Upper Egypt for the first time.
It also witnesses the second collaboration between Shaban and Jordanian actor Monther Rayahnah.
Rayahnah and Shaban collaborated last Ramadan in the TV series "Al Moalem".
The cast also includes Salwa Khattab, Ahmed Bedier, Sahar El Sayegh, Hager Ahmed, Monther Rayahnah, Entsar, Ahmed Fouad Selim, and more.
“Al Moalem" is scripted by Mohamed Elshawaf, directed by Morcous Adel, and produced by Synergy.
The series is based on the 1986 film "Shader El Samk", starring Ahmed Zaki and Nabila Ebeed, and marks the first collaboration between Rayahnah and Shaban.
Born on 8 April 1979 in Irbid, Rayahnah started acting while studying at Yarmouk University, where he was a student of television and theater directing.
He graduated in 2004 and went on to star in several television series including “Akher El Forsan” (The Last of the Knights), “Khalid ibn Alwalid,” and “Al Igtiyah” (Breaking and Entering).
Reyahna also starred in Egyptian TV productions like “Khutoot Hamraa'” (Red Lines) and “Al Aqrab” (The Scorpion).
He landed his first lead role in a film in 2013's "Garsoneira", which starred Ghada Abdel Razek.
