The premiere date for the Legendary Monsterverse series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” has been unveiled.
The series will debut on February 27, 2026, on Apple TV, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter until May 1.
Apple has also released the first teaser for the second season, which reveals Kong’s Skull Island will play a big part in Season 2.

The official logline for Season 2 states that it picks up “with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.”
Chris Black serves as executive producer and showrunner on Season 2. Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell executive produce via Safehouse Pictures along with Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Andrew Colville and Lawrence Trillling, who also directs four episodes, as well as Andrew Colville, who writes two episodes and serves as executive producer. With “Monarch’s” renewal for Season 2, it was reported that multiple potential spinoffs were in development at Apple TV under their deal with Legendary Entertainment.
