Renowned Egyptian actor and director Mohamed Sobhi was hospitalised on Friday after a sudden health emergency.
He underwent the medical tests to determine the cause of his illness.
Sobhi in an interview said that he had suffered a severe health setback several months ago, as a result of contracting a virus in the brain, which caused him to experience temporary fainting spells and memory loss.
He added that the treatment was difficult and required him to stay in the hospital for 13 days.
Born on March 3, 1948, Sobhi is one of the most prominent stars in the Arab world. He has contributed to numerous important and entertaining films and television works, in addition to his impressive theatrical productions.
