"The King” Mohamed Mounir will perform live at the 2nd edition of the New Alamein Festival in North Coast, Egypt, on Friday, July 12.
It features headline slots from Mohamed Mounir, Amr Diab, Elissa, Kadim Al Sahir, Tamer Hosny, Cairokee, Wegz, Diana Haddad, Tamer Ashour, and Souad Massi, among others.
The festival will run from July 11 to August 30, under the slogan "Alamein, the World of Science". It will allocate 60% of its profits to Palestine.
The program comprises of more than 45 activities, including 50 by the Ministry of Culture and five diverse festivals: the Napata Festival, the Entertainment Festival, the Sports Festival, the Food Festival, and the Music and Theater Festival.
The New Alamein Festival will hold the majority of the events during daylight to rationalize electricity consumption.
The second edition of the festival is set to witness an exchange of activities between the El Alamein Festival and the Riyadh season.
It will present several plays that were staged in the Riyadh season, which is expected to draw a huge audience. The United Media Services is also set to sponsor two plays at the Riyadh season.
Founded in 2023, the New Alamein Festival is one of the largest entertainment events in Egypt and the Middle East.
It brings together the best of art, sports, and entertainment, starting with concerts for local, Arab, and international artists in the biggest entertainment Arena in New Alamein to international shows and sporting events featuring international teams taking place on the beach area and Lagoon. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of exhibitions and food stalls.
The New Alamein Festival targets boosting tourism and entertainment for tourists and Egyptians in this area to upgrade the city to be an international spot for tourism.
