“The King” Mohamed Mounir and rapper Wegz have joined forces on their cross-generational single "Kalam Forsan".

The single features on the Side B of Wegz’s album "Aqareb" and is released via Raad Records.

"Kalam Forsan" is produced by London-based producer/engineer Tudor Munroe and Egyptian producer/engineer Hussein Gamal, both of whom previously contributed across Wegz’s debut album Aqareb.

The single sees Wegz stepping back from his rap persona to show off his vocals seamlessly mixed with Mounir’s signature soulful balladry anchoring the track, unfolding a churning beat loaded with rumbling sub-bass, shimmering percussion, and an expansive traditional orchestra.

"Kalam Forsan" arrives with a culturally grounded music video set in a Nubian village, spotlighting unity and joy. Nubian kids play, dance, and connect with the wider Egyptian landscape, carrying their infectious energy all the way to the streets of Cairo.

Though this is not Mounir and Wegz's first time to join forces, the track marks their first musical collaboration, a natural outcome of a long-standing friendship finally taking shape in the studio.

Mounir previously expressed his excitement for the duet in a recent interview with "Al Naher" TV channel, saying, “I listen to Wegz, and I have a duet with him very soon. I am happy to be collaborating with a new generation.” He also hinted at future collaborations with Cairokee and frontman Amir Eid. For his part, Wegz has publicly shared his deep admiration for Mounir, previously posting on Instagram about the profound influence The King has had on his life.
