Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Joins "Embratoreyet Meem" TV Adaptation

Egyptian actor Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz has recently joined the cast of the TV adaptation of the 1972 film "Embratoreyet Meem" (Empire M).

The series is scripted by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul-Malik, directed by Mohamed Salama, and produced by Aroma production company.

The series is set to debut in the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.

"Embratoreyet Meem" stars Khaled El Nabawy, Nour El Nabawy, Nashwa Moustafa, Mahmoud Hafez, and more.

The film featured a cast that included Faten Hamama, Ahmed Mazhar, Hesham Selim, Dawlat Abyad, Ali Gawhar, Saif Abo El Naga,  Nagyat Kandel, and others.

Filmmaker Hussein Kamal directed from a script by Ihsan Abd al-Qudus and Mustafa Samy.

"Embratoreyet Meem" follows a Mona (Faten Hamama), a widow raising her six kids besides her work.

She gradually falls in love with businessman Ahmed (Ahmed Mazhar), but doesn't give in to her feelings easily being torn apart between her devotion to her children and her future with Ahmed.

Abdel Aziz participated last Ramadan with TV series "Hadret El Omda" (Mayoress).

It also starred Ruby, Samiha Ayoub, Basma, Mahmoud Abdel-Moghni, Wafaa Amer, Edward, Mahmoud Hafez, Ehab Fahmy, Ahmed Badir, Salah Abdallah, Nahla Salama, Hossam Dagher, Sola Omar, Dina, and more.

Director Adel Adeeb helmed the series from a script by writer and journalist Ibrahim Eissa.

The series depicts a young woman assuming the position of mayor of her village and the challenges she faces.
