Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), affirmed that the celebration of the 19th Egyptian Archaeologists' Day honors a long-standing legacy of national leadership. This journey, he noted, began in 1953 with the historic appointment of the first Egyptian head of the Antiquities Service.

During the ceremony, Dr. Khaled emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to fostering the values of loyalty by honoring the icons who dedicated their lives to serving archaeological sites. He stressed that the current generation of young professionals proves daily its merit in managing and preserving world heritage.

The Secretary-General praised the tireless efforts of the honorees—including archaeologists, restorers, and administrative staff—describing them as the "Guardians of Civilization." He highlighted their unwavering dedication to uncovering Egypt’s treasures, which continue to captivate the world and lead international scientific discourse.
