Veteran Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedy is teaming up with prominent scriptwriter Youssef Maaty on his next TV series.
It is set to be filmed under the title "Qandil".
The drama marks Maaty's comeback to the world of screenwriting after an 8-year absence.
He penned his last script in “El Zaeem” Adel Emam's TV series "Afareet Adly Allam" in 2017.
"Qandil" combines Henedy's usual comedic style with Maaty's sarcastic style.
The series also marks the fifth collaboration between the duo after the 2008 film "Ramadan Mabrouk Abul-Alamein Hamouda," and 2012's spin-off series "Misyou Ramadan Mabrouk Abul-Alamein Hamouda,".
They also worked together on the films "Amir El Behar" (2009) and "Teita Rahiba" (2012).
