Egyptian veteran singer-actor Mohamed Fouad is set to make his acting comeback after an 18-year-long hiatus.
In a statement, Fouad noted he will collaborate with the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority Turki Al-Sheikh in the upcoming film "Fi Qalb New York" (In the Heart of New York).
The project is being billed as the "biggest film of all Time".
The acclaimed singer noted he had previously collaborated on the 1997 blockbuster "Ismailia Rayeh Gay".
Fouad made his last onscreen appearance in the 2005 film “Ghawi Hob”, starring Hala Shiha, Ramez Galal, and Khaled El Sawy.
He made his acting debut in the 1991 film "What the Heart Wants". His film credits also include "Love Journey" (2001), and "What's Going on?" (2002).
Fouad landed his first lead role in a drama in 2010's TV series "Agla Min Hayaty" and hosted the television show "Khush Ala Fo’sh" in 2014.
