The release date for Egyptian actor Mohamed Emam's latest film “Abu Nasab” has been revealed.
The film is set to premiere in the cinemas during the Eid al-Adha movie marathon.
The cast also stars Maged El Kedwany, Yasmine Sabri, Wafaa Amer, Hala Fakher, Mohamed Lotfy, and others.
Rami Emam directs the project from a screenplay by Ayman Wattar.
"Abu Nasab" witnesses Mohamed Emam reteaming up with his brother Rami Emam for the fourth time. They previously collaborated on the 2014 TV series "Saheb El Saada", the 2012 TV series "Ferqat Naji Atallah" (2012), and the 2008 film "Hassan and Marcus".
The film also marks the third collaboration between Sabri and Mohamed Emam after "Lelyt Hana w Sorour" (2018) and “Gahim Fel Hend” (2016).
Emam was last seen in the film “Amohom”.
The film also stars Sayed Ragab, Mohamed Lotfy, Huda El Mufti, Ayten Amer, and others. It is directed by Hussein El Menbawy and marks his second collaboration with Emam.
They collaborated for the first time in the 2018 film “Lelat Hana w Sorour” (The Night of Hana and Sorour).
The film is produced by Mohamed El Sobky and marks Emam’s fifth film.
Emam, born on December 16, 1984, comes from an artistic family as his father is ‘El Zaeem’ actor Adel Emam, and the younger brother of director Rami Emam.
He went to Jesuit school before he entered the American University in Cairo. Emam studied theater and acted in many roles in the university including “Atawa in El Maghmati” play directed by Mahmoud El Lozy.
Emam first began his acting career as a child co-starring alongside his father in the 1990 film “Hanafi El Abha” (The Magnificent Hanafi).
His first role as an adult was in the 2003 TV series “Kanaria and Shorkah”. Emam’s first film as the main protagonist was “Al Beeh Romansy” (The Romantic Bey) in 2009.
His TV credits include "El Nemr", “Hogan”, “Lam’yy El Ott”,” Saheb El Saada”,” Firqat Naji Atallah”,” Khatout Hamra", “Bilshama’a El Ahmar”, and “Khatut Hamra”.
Emam is also known for his roles in films "Amohom", “Lis Bagdad”, “Lelyt Hana w Sorour”, “Gahim Fe El Hend”, “Captain Masr”,” Al-Bayh Romancy”, “Hassan and Marcus”, and “The Yacoubian Building”.
