Mohamed Diab Sets Next Movie "The Note" at Netflix

Mohamed Diab, Egyptian screenwriter and director of Marvel's "Moon Knight", "Cairo 6, 7, 8" and "The Clash", is back behind the camera on a new film, "The Note", at Netflix.

In an interview on the "Modern MTI" channel on Sunday evening, Diab said he wanted to make more human stories rather than superhero films. 

“I want to create more human-interest films, like the ones I love more, than superhero movies. I want to make something like“Like my films Cairo 6, 7, 8, and The Clash,” he noted. “But this time in America.”

The production includes parts of Diab’s life, including his experience in America, the fascination with the American dream, and the realisation that it’s not entirely real.

"The plot is partly inspired by my personal experience while working on the Marvel project, where I deal with the feeling of being blown away by what is known as the American Dream, before different aspects are revealed that make it seem less perfect than imagined," he said.

Diab is also awaiting the release of the star-studded film “Asad” (Lion), starring Mohamed Ramadan, Razan Gamal, Maged El Kedwany, Ali Qassem, Islam Mubarak, Kamel El Basha, Mahmoud El Serag, and more.
