Treading into new waters, Four Star Films, which usually distributes foreign films in Egypt, is releasing its first Arabic film, "Shams."
The thriller project hails from Moawad Ismail and marks his feature directorial debut.
The film follows Khaled, who wakes up to find himself in a mysterious place without really knowing how he got there before discovering that he is possessed by a djinn due to his repeated visits to a haunted garden.
"Shams" stars Khaled El-Sawy, Amr Abdel-Gelil, Mahmoud Abdel-Moghny, Huda El-Etreby, Ahmed Bedier, Alaa Morsy, and Mohamed Soliman.
The film with dramatic treatment by Talal Al-Tarifi, screenplay by Fawaz Al-Khuraishi, dialogue by Muhammad Al-Qawshti, and music composed by Khaled Hammad.
"Shams" hits theatres on Wednesday, September 6. Check out the trailer below.
