Miss Egypt Grand International Virginia Hany launched the "Small Hands" initiative to raise awareness of the impact of education on children's mental and physical health.

The initiative's first activities began in cooperation with the presidential initiative '1000 Golden Days' initiative" in the presence of Abla Al-Alfy, Professor of Pediatrics, and in the presence of Counselor Adel Abdel Baqi, President of Rotary Cairo.

The symposium witnessed interaction from the attendees regarding the rights of the mother and child in spacing successive pregnancies, avoiding marriage between relatives, and the child's right to breastfeed and apply the 'Kangaroo Care' during the first hour of his life.

Hany also presented her experience in caring for the child's mental health through her initiative "Small Hands".

She stated in exclusive statements to Sada el Balad English (See) that she is honored to share with us the "Small Hands" initiative that she founded to raise awareness of the impact of parenting on children's mental health and the importance of focusing on the mark we leave on children through our behavior from their birth until the age of 5."

She added: "I am confident that cooperation with the "1000 Golden Days" initiative, as its first ambassador, will greatly benefit us in spreading awareness because our goal is one, which is to influence the family and protect the child's health, whether physical or psychological."

In March, Virginia Hani participated in the first annual celebration of the "Fahim" Foundation for Psychological Support at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in the presence of Ambassador Nabila Makram, former Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs.

Virginia Hani's participation comes in line with the goals of her initiative that she launched to raise awareness of the negative impact of parenting on children and how parents' fingerprints affect their mental and psychological health, in light of the technological revolution, and social media boom that the world is witnessing today, which makes it difficult for parents to deal with their children.
