Miss Egypt 2024 to Select 25 Contestants out of 2,500 Applicants

In preparation for the launch of the Miss Egypt 2024 beauty pageant, the contestant will be accepted in the competition after undergoing a special “casting” in which the artists Horeya Farghaly, Bushra, and Dr. Amaal Rezk, the competition’s President and Miss Egypt 2009 Elham Wagdi will be participating in this year's jury.

25 Contestants Chosen from 2,500 applicants

The competition’s President was thrilled to announce to “Sada El Balad English (See) the scenes behind the selection of contestants from 2,500 applicants. Up to 25 applicants will be filtered based on their general appearance, culture, self-confidence, choosing appropriate clothes, and education, in addition to knowing the number of environmental or charitable campaigns in which the contestants participate as well as their plans after winning the title.

what is new in the competition?

Rezk added that what is new in the competition is that evening gowns and eco dresses will be designed from recycled materials to preserve the eco system and implement sustainable development goals (SDGs), which was not present in Miss Egypt but was present in the Miss Teen Egypt and Miss Eco International competitions.

Rezk added that the winner of the Miss Egypt 2009 title, Elham Wagdi, will be part of the casting jury in order to provide motivation to the contestants and the customs followed in the competition.

Up to 25 girls selected to participate in Miss Egypt 2024

She explained that 25 girls were selected to participate in the Miss Egypt competition from the age of 21 to the age of 33, noting that beauty is not the only criterion for selecting contestants.

The head of the competition indicated that all the contestants are preparing to go through several photo sessions in addition to their training in preparation for qualifying for the competition qualifiers, noting that the presence of the artist Houria Farghaly, former Miss Egypt, as a member of the competition’s jury, gave a state of joy and harmony among the contestants.
