Within the framework of the Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities' keenness to benefit from the important events and activities for the tourism promotion of Egypt and the various tourist and archaeological destinations, the Giza Pyramids area hosted, yesterday, more than 120 people from more than forty countries who are among the guests participating in the 31st conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments.
They were accompanied on the visit by Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Jumah, Minister of Endowments.
The guests were welcomed by Ashraf Mohi El-Din, Director -General of the Antiquities of the Pyramid, who accompanied the visitors during the tour with an explanation with a number of antiquities inspectors in the region.
And the tour began with a visit to the Great Pyramid, then the two panorama areas and the statue of the Great Sphinx, and they also took memorial pictures.
The members of the delegations expressed their happiness with this visit, which they considered a wonderful opportunity to learn about the ancient Egyptian civilization, and the greatness of building the pyramids that amaze the world.
They wish to visit other archaeological areas to learn more about the tourist and archaeological attractions that characterize Egypt.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Tourism and& Antiquities is constantly keen to benefit from the international events and sports tournaments that are held in Egypt in promoting tourism to the country, by mounting free visits of all delegations and teams participating in these events to get acquainted with the museums and tourist and archaeological areas in Egypt, such as the Giza Pyramids and the temples Luxor and Karnak, Luxor Governorate.
Among the events that the Ministry participated in during the last period was the 2021 World Handball Championship for Men, which was held from January 13 to 31, where the Giza Pyramids area hosted all the participating teams.
On the occasion hosting of the World Shooting World Cup to Egypt last February, the Pyramids area hosted the Vice President of the International Shooting Federation and his wife and all members participating in the tournament competitions, in addition to the visit of the President of the International Federation of Bodybuilding.
The Ministry has also recently organized various introductory visits to Egypt for a number of bloggers and influencers on social media websites in many countries of the world, including the United Kingdom, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and a number of Arab countries.
