As part of its commitment to participating in major international tourism events and diversifying the markets that send tourists to Egypt, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Authority, is taking part in the 62nd edition of the TTG Travel Experience 2025—the renowned international tourism exhibition currently being held in Rimini, Italy.
The Egyptian pavilion was inaugurated by Eng. Ahmed Youssef, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Strategic Management Affairs and Acting CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, alongside Mr. Waleed Osman, the Egyptian Consul in Milan, and Mr. Mohamed Fawzy, the official in charge of the Italian market at the Authority’s General Department for Foreign Offices.
Eng. Ahmed Youssef emphasized that the Italian market is one of Egypt’s most important tourism source markets, noting that the first half of this year witnessed a 49% increase in arrivals compared to the same period last year.
He further highlighted that the Authority is keen to participate regularly in TTG Travel Experience, as it is among the most significant tourism exhibitions in the Italian market. The event provides an excellent opportunity to engage directly with visitors and key industry stakeholders, including tour operators and decision-makers, to exchange insights and ideas aimed at attracting more Italian tourists to Egypt.
During the exhibition, Eng. Youssef held a series of professional meetings with major Italian tour operators, travel companies, and media representatives to discuss ways to enhance cooperation, outline future promotional plans for Egypt’s diverse tourist destinations and products, and review the latest trends shaping the Italian travel market.
The discussions also highlighted new tourism products and destinations that Egypt is actively promoting, such as the North Coast and New Alamein City, as well as the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of Egypt’s most significant national projects, set to open on November 1st.
This year, the Egyptian Tourism Authority is participating with a 220-square-meter pavilion designed in a modern Pharaonic style, equipped with large display screens showcasing promotional films about various Egyptian destinations, in addition to fixed advertisements both inside the exhibition and at Rimini train station.
The current edition of TTG Travel Experience has seen strong participation from Egyptian hotels and tour operators, with 12 travel companies and 13 hotel establishments taking part within the Egyptian pavilion.
It is worth noting that the TTG Travel Experience is considered the largest and most prominent tourism event in Italy, attracting over 70,000 visitors this year. The exhibition is organized by Italian Exhibition Group, under the patronage of the Municipality of Rimini, the Italian Ministry of Tourism, and the Italian Federation of Travel and Tourism Associations (FIAVET).
