Dr. Khaled El-Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, participated this evening, in the farewell ceremony for Dr. Cyril van Nun German ambassador to Cairo. The ceremony was held in the embassy garden on the occasion of the end of his term as German ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During his speech, the German ambassador expressed his love for Egypt, pointing out that he visited Egypt 5 times before assuming his duties as ambassador of his country in Egypt; he had a Nile cruise and visited many Egyptian cities and resorts, including Taba, Sharm El-Sheikh and Cairo, stressing that he will visit Egypt again, but as a tourist
The ambassador also pointed out to the fruitful and effective cooperation between the two countries in many fields, especially in light of the good bilateral relations, extending thanks to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for the efforts made by the Egyptian government to restore the normal rates of tourism movement.
He also thanked the Minister for the ministry’s keenness to invite him to participate in the events and activities organized by the ministry, such as conferences on archaeological discoveries, as well as the numerous visits to learn about the tourist and archaeological components of many Egyptian cities and governorates, the most recent of which was the visit organized by the ministry last year to Sharm el-Sheikh on the occasion of the celebration of World Tourism Day.
During the Tourism Day, he enjoyed various tourist and archaeological elements of the city, in addition to the Bicycle Marathon, which he participated in on the sidelines of this celebration.
