Khaled El Anany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, gave a lecture at Charles University in the Czech capital, Prague, in which he reviewed the latest discoveries, openings, museums and new archaeological projects in Egypt.

El Anany talked about many archaeological discoveries that were made during the last period, as well as the numerous museums and archaeological projects that were opened to the public, which contributes to further promoting tourism to Egypt, such as the "Al Asasif" cache discovered in 2019, unveiling more than 30 wooden human shaped colored coffins containing mummies of men, women and children, preserved in good condition with full colors and inscriptions.

El Anany also pointed out to some recent openings, such as the project of restoring and renovating the Baron Empain Palace, which was inaugurated by the President Abdel Fattah El Sisi last June, after its transformation into an exhibition narrating the history of Heliopolis.

In addition, El Anany talked about the inauguration of many national museums such as the Sohag National Museum in the presence of the President of the Republic, and the Hurghada Museum in the presence of the Prime Minister.

The minister also noted the continuous ongoing development of some museums, including the Royal Vehicles Museum, which will be opened soon, and the development of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which will receive the royal mummies procession from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, and the developments and expansions in the Grand Egyptian Museum project, which will be inaugurated in 2021.

The minister also reviewed the precautionary measures and health safety controls that are applied in Egypt to ensure the health and safety of all tourists, visitors and workers in the tourism sector, in conjunction with the resumption of tourism to Egypt since last July and the resumption of cultural tourism as of today (the first of September).

At the end of the lecture, "A Tourist's Journey in Egypt" movie was displayed, and the audience liked it so much, and many of them wished to visit Egypt to enjoy its amazing picturesque beaches.

It's worth mentioning that "A Tourist's Journey in Egypt" was launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities last June as part of its promotional campaign under the title "Same Great Feelings", and gained a huge viewership on social media platforms exceeding 160 million views.

This lecture came on the sidelines of the visit of the Egyptian Tourism Minister to the Czech capital Prague to inaugurate the "Kings of the Sun" exhibition, which is considered the first archaeological exhibition to be held in the Czech Republic and the largest exhibition of antiquities of the ancient state.
