Immigration Min. Receives Participants at 18th Meeting for Young Egyptians Abroad

The Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram received a Australian-Egyptian youth delegation from the second and third generation of Egyptians residing in Australia, with the aim of linking these youth to their homeland and benefiting from their ideas, as they are the best ambassadors for Egypt abroad.

The Ministry organized a visit for the delegation to the Giza Pyramids to watch the sound and light show, as they listened to a full explanation of the history of Pharaonic Egypt.

Makram said that during the past three years, the Ministry organized 17 forums for children of the second and third generations of Egyptians abroad from European countries, Canada and America, and this is the eighteenth meeting hosted by the Ministry of Immigration.

Makram stressed that these visits include attending courses in national security in cooperation with Nasser Higher Military Academy, "through which we aim to clarify the facts of what is really going on in Egypt and uncover the size of the challenges facing the state during this time as well as ways to correct the false image of Egypt which some want to promote abroad, aiming distort the stability.

The minister added that the Ministry is keen to organize field visits to these delegations for a number of military units, to get to know the convictions of the Egyptian soldier and the fighting skills by watching on ground exercises from the forces of these units.

The visits also includes the new Suez Canal to know the great importance this project carries to Egypt, and how Egyptians are able to achieve even in the most difficult circumstances.

The minister said that the visits also include many field trips to many tourist places, including the Pyramids area, the Religions Complex and Al-Moez Street, in addition to the coastal cities such as Alexandria, as well as Luxor and Aswan, with the aim of defining what Egypt possesses of a great cultural and historical heritage as well as its picturesque areas, and work to promote Egypt tourism through their personal pages on social media.

The Ministry of Immigration calls on the Egyptian communities abroad to get their children to participate in the programs organized by the Ministry for the children of Egyptians abroad from the second and third generation, provided that the age of young people ranges between 18 and 35 years.

Applicants should apply through the ministry's email and include photos of passports for young people, photos of their residence abroad and their dates of stay in Egypt, to work on choosing the dates that are most suitable for the majority.
