Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the esteemed actor Lotfy Labib, who departed from our world today after an honorable artistic and national journey. Throughout his career, he enriched Egyptian theater, cinema, and television with heartfelt performances and a profound human presence that kept him close to the hearts of the people.

The Minister stated:

“Today, we lost a great artist, a noble human being, and a true patriot—an exceptional creative figure who left an indelible mark on Egyptian art. He was also a true soldier, having served in the Armed Forces for six years and fought in the glorious October War as a member of the 26th Battalion. In his person, he embodied a rare combination of the honor of combat and the beauty of art.”

The Minister added that Lotfy Labib had a unique artistic experience through which he was able to express the public’s emotions with both simplicity and depth. He left a lasting impression in every role he played, becoming one of the most beloved faces among Egyptian and Arab audiences.

The Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the late artist’s family and admirers across Egypt and the Arab world, praying that God may grant him eternal mercy and provide comfort and patience to his loved ones.
